A Dress of Many Sleeves

Saturday, December 18, 2010

You've finally chosen the perfect shade of plum for your autumn wedding, and picked a dress that will flatter the various figures of your dearest friends. You've achieved nirvana, or at least bridesmaid dress success, until your favorite cousin adds that she'd really like sleeves and your best friend decides that knee length won't flatter her flawless gams. So what's a girl to do? You can scratch the whole thing, or you can use eShakti, a website that allows you to customize the design of anything on the site! Now adding an extra six inches in the bust or a demure 3/4 length sleeve for the maid with upper arm anxiety is easy. If you're worried about fittings, just use eShakti's custom sizing to ensure that each dress is perfectly tailored long before the big day!

Would you dress your girls in matching dresses, or will you chose a less traditional route?

  6. I myself am forgoing bridesmaids in our tiny little wedding, but I am a bridesmaid in a few wedding coming up- one, I just get to choose a black dress that i love and the other will be more traditional with everyone wearing the same-ish dress. I am going to send her the e-shakti link because she is having 9 bridesmaids and we are all different shapes and sizes and the customization would be PERFECT!

  7. I'd forgo bridemaids, actually. I'm a bit weary of 14-person bridal parties that seem to the trend amongst my family/friends...just keep it simple and about the couple :)
But that is a gorgeous purple...and the dress is lovely!

  8. That is a lovely dress!
And in Norway we tend to only have one bridesmaid and I suppose I would let my best friend dress in whatever she wants :)

    Hugs and enjoy your Sunday!

  11. I had my girls in the same shade and shape of dress...they were royal blue from Lela Rose. I loved them so much I bought one in ivory--and wore it on my exit! xo

  12. thats a lovely dress and what a great site to allow you to customize the dress. I had my girls wear the same dress but my maid of honor was in a different color. The girls picked the dresses out though
