Inspired by Marchesa

Monday, November 8, 2010

I promised you something wonderful this week, didn't I? I'll be bringing you my favorites from Bridal Market, paired with cakes, invitations and shoes that bring the whole look together-and I'm so excited for you to see them all!

This gorgeous Marchesa mini is the perfect dress for a daring bride with a romantic streak; aren't the ruffles amazing? I imagine this stylish girl's groom would wear a sharp, sharkskin suit, and invite guests with this Martha Stewart for Crane's suite-the scalloped edge echos the ruffles on the dress and divine My Sweet and Saucy cake, but the serif type gives it a contemporary feel.

  1. That dress is gorgeous!!! But I have to be honest, I am a little traditional, I don´t know if I could bring myself to wear a short dress for my wedding, could you? There are so many few occasions in life you can wear a long dress!! haha
    That cake is fabulous

  2. Cute dress and the cake is just amazing :)
I think I would go for a long dress as well, or maybe a 40's style knee length thing, hmmm...

    Have a lovely Monday :)

  5. Oh I love! The dress, the cake, those invitations! I don't know which I like best, although the scalloped edges swing it I think. They work perfectly together.

  13. It's true, the mini is for a bride with a seriously gorgeous pair of legs and a fearless sense of style! I probably wouldn't wear something quite so short, but I love the idea of wearing a tea length dress!

  20. You could easily add 3 or 4 " to this mini, and make it less radical but still chic and sexy and because the rest of it is so traditional nothing will be lost. I think the short length would be fresh and lovely.
