After portraits at the Plaza and Central Park, Jessica and Scott made their way to Wainwright House in Rye, NY for the ceremony and reception. After exchanging "I do"s on the property's immaculate lawn, the newlyweds and their guests enjoyed a cocktail hour that celebrated the dual perspectives of the event: Manhattans paid tribute to the couple's home, while French 75's honored the French chateau Wainwright House was modeled after.
Denise Fasanello designed the luscious bouquets while Perry Shuler created the table arrangements; mercury glass vases filled with soft garden roses and dusty miller graced each table, along with softly sparkling crystal candlesticks and votives. While this wedding certainly looks like a million bucks, the bride said they were very budget-conscious and enlisted the help of friends and family; a colleague helped Jessica design and print the stationery, her cousin handmade bridesmaids' accessories, a family friend put all the decorations in order on the day of the wedding and another carried the newlyweds off in his antique car following a sparkling sendoff.
Favors had a special place in Jessica and Scott's hearts; after he proposed on a chocolate cake, they agonized about how to incorporate their proposal into this gorgeous wedding. In a flash of inspiration, they chose to give guests mason jars filled with the cake's ingredients and their recipe for "Eternal Bliss". It doesn't get much sweeter than that.
Of course, husband and wife team the Nichols captured every moment and detail to perfection. The best thing about a beautiful wedding might just be the gorgeous photographs we can enjoy for years after!
