All Hallow's Eve

Don't you wish Halloween looked a little more like Candice Bergen at Truman Capote's 1966 Black and White Ball, and a little less like the stars of the Jersey Shore? I, for one, do!

Last night, after an afternoon of estate sale shopping (I found a gorgeous set of etched sour glasses and a fabulous mid-century modern wooden ice bucket, while my partner in thrift found two gorgeous milk glass mixing bowls and an adorable vintage handbag) John and I threw an impromptu cocktail party. This morning, in addition to recovering from an evening of spiced ciders and mint juleps, we're gearing up for the Tulsa vs. Notre Dame football game-John's little brother Mike is a Golden Hurricane, so we're proudly wearing our blue and gold! Hope your Saturday is shaping up well, my darlings!

  9. what a glorious saturday! we spent the day watching college football as well and it was splendid because not only did ohio state win but they did so by a landslide. sadly for dave, michigan lost and they have turned out to be terrible once again under rich rod's leadership. time for a new coach we say. we are still in sunny orlando until tuesday and then back to normalcy which i have to admit i am dreading as I don't want to go back to work. my blackberry has been exploding with craziness/stressfilled emails. :(
    happy weekend;)
