a Golden Glass

Friday, September 24, 2010

It's Friday, and what better way to celebrate than with a glass of bubbly? Be it Prosecco, Cava or Champagne, it's always delicious. To make it even more special, why not add a few edible gold flakes?

My best San Francisco girlfriend and I had a standing Friday night date (my sweetheart tended bar and hers lived in Los Angeles): pizza, bubbly and sweets were de rigueur, and we usually caught up on that week's primetime TV hits while we gossiped. Becky has since moved to LA, but I thought this would be a lovely way to share our Friday night date with all of you, dear friends!

  2. what a fun tradition. I find that bubbly tastes best in a pretty glass and the one pictured here is quite lovely (although I will drink bubbly from a plastic cup if necessary) Happy Friday

  3. Edible gold flakes?! I love Champagne, and yes I agree with Amber Blue Bird, it does taste better in a pretty glass!
