Aren't these pinup brides fantastic? This WellWed Magazine photo shoot was featured on the Wedding Chicks and captured my imagination! Perfect for a 4th of July fête, these great photos feature 1940's-inspired styling and lots of matte red lipstick. The blonde's textured gown is a mermaid number by Melissa Sweet, paired with peep-toe pumps from Flippa Scott.
The brunette's first dress is a fabulous strapless cotton lace mermaid gown by Claire Pettibone, shown with an organza and silk veil by Boutique de Voile. The Amy Kuschel dress beside it features a sweetheart neckline and flounced hem. Finally, what looks better in a military truck than a delicately embroidered dress by Melissa Sweet?
What do you think, dear readers? Would you rock hair rolls and red lipstick on your wedding day? I know I would!

Heck yes, what a sexy look!
ReplyDeleteI adore this veil. I am not a long veil person but my mom is so hoping I will wear one. This may be just the perfect solution. Thanks for sharing these beautiful photos.
ReplyDeletelove these! I've always secretly wanted to be a 1940's pinup girl :)
ReplyDeleteMe too, Kayla! It sounds like the best way to spend an afternoon, taking glamorous pin up shots!
ReplyDeleteIt's absolutely a sexy look, but classic, too. Just the way I like it!
