Don't get me wrong: it's hard to find any fault with this Palm Springs affair, but that dress is incredible. Not one to let her girls feel left out, maids wore J.Crew sheaths in apricot while the gentlemen dressed in blue suits. Groomsmen wore matching ivory and apricot striped ties, but Jon Paul sported a Burberry check that matched the invitation suite to perfection.
The papers were all designed by Kristen's talented sister, Laura Naples (of Neapolitan), who juxtaposed mod visuals with traditional calligraphy and set the tone for this fashionable fête. 62 guests were invited to join Kristen and Jon Paul as they exchanged wedding vows at Our Lady of Guadalupe, then celebrated at the Parker Palm Springs (after some devastatingly cool portraits). Artisan Event, Floral and Decor designed the flowers, and provided Kristen with the peace of mind of day-of coordination. The bride carried anemones, ranunculus and peonies down the aisle, and adorned the gents' lapels with ivory spray roses.
The reception was as fun as this couple; after dinner, guests danced and roasted s'mores over a fire pit that kept the February evening warm. After a party like that, is it any wonder that the newlyweds bunked down in Palm Springs for the evening? The next day, their gifted photographer, Justine Ungaro, snapped casual photos at both the Parker and the Ace Hotel.
Again... these real wedding looks so unreal and dreamy to me. Love them!
