No 598: Real Wedding: Renee and Brett

Sunday, July 18, 2010

I must be missing San Francisco, because this foggy wedding looks absolutely divine right now! The Australians seem to have a market on stunning, fashionable weddings, and Renee and Brett's Queensland fête is no exception.

The bride wore a gown by Wendy Makin, Australia's Vera Wang (and changed into a knockout black gown by Carla Zampatti during the reception), while her new husband wore a black suit with a black and white striped tie from Country Road. Her bridesmaids were dressed in soft pink gowns that matched the pink garden roses, cream lisianthus and white carnations they carried down the aisle, designed by her great aunt.

The couple was married at the Little White Church, where Renee and her father arrived in her uncle's vintage Peugeot. The bride walked down the aisle to Pachelbel's Canon, played by a string duo, and hopped into wellies as soon as the ceremony was finished! The reception was held nearby at the Maleny Manor, a reception venue with all the comforts of home and all the staff of a well-run hotel.

Chesterton Smith Photography captured each moment of this gorgeous day, and was generous enough to share Renee and Brett's elegant, stylish wedding with Polka Dot Bride!

  2. I think the fog is so dreamy! It's so nice to be back in SF and far from the hot, hot Spanish sun!
