No 582: Real Wedding: Vanessa and Cayman

Sunday, July 4, 2010

Hallmarks of Americana include red checked tablecloths, fried chicken and Classic Coca Cola, all featured in spades in this charming wedding. I thought this All-American celebration was the most divine way to celebrate the 4th!

Vanessa and Cayman were married in June at Holman Ranch in Carmel Valley, a Spanish style estate once frequented by Hollywood celebrities like Charlie Chaplin. Papers were designed by Northern California favorite, Hello!Lucky, and Erica Rose Designs provided all the gorgeous flowers.

After the outdoor ceremony, guests headed to the patio for a Southern meal of short ribs, macaroni and cheese, fried chicken and biscuits, provided by Paradise Catering. Lawn games rounded out the daylight hours, but they danced well into the evening. This lovely event was coordinated by the talented Shannon Leahy and captured by Emily Merrill.

I hope each and every one of you is enjoying your 4th of July, fireworks and all!
