Growing up, my mother collected the most beautiful art books-Degas, Monet and Erté were my favorites, and I could spend hours lost in the lush reproductions. I always loved Erté's illustrations of Mozart heroines (the one above is the Queen of the Night), but never imagined that one day, I'd be the woman in his illustrations. There will be no Queens for me any time soon, but there are still plenty of high notes. After yesterday's wonderful masterclass, I feel sure of it!No 552: l'Opera
