No 518: the Paella

After a delicious dinner tonight, I was inspired to share a meal that could become the central focus of your reception-paella! Paella is a Spanish rice dish that originated in Valencia, and can feature nearly any protein you like. I prefer my paella with chicken, chorizo, shrimp and mussels, but rabbit, lobster, scallops and even pork are all traditional and delicious choices, and make feeding a crowd a breeze. I know of several weddings where enormous dishes of paella were cooked al fresco (avoiding creating a kitchen in an off-site location) over open fires-doesn't that sound mouthwatering?
