Fridays are a long, hellish day, beginning with 8:30 French and finishing up around 5pm. Today seemed especially long, and I was anxious to get home to Mr Wonderful, who devoted the day to spring cleaning. But not only had he scrubbed the house from top to bottom, he had concocted the most fabulous surprise.He squeezed 2 dozen lemons and made a giant container of lemonade! Best of all, he filled a footed pilsner glass with strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and slices of lemon and left it in the freezer all day, so the frozen fruit acted as the most delicious cubes on Earth. Oh, heaven.
