No 470: the Edgar Degas

Wednesday, April 7, 2010

This gorgeous gown by Carolina Herrera has captured my imagination, and Kelly Oshiro of Santa Barbara Chic captured this stunning image. Inspired and named for the incomparable French painted, Edgar Degas, this tulle point d’esprit gown bedecked with ribbon is absolutely lovely. I would, however, make one change.

My mother, who has made a number of custom gowns, has just one "no go"-black. She has never seen a wedding in which the bride wore black and lived happily ever after. So switch the black ribbon for a bow in ivory or blue.
