No 300: Real Wedding: Sarah and Chase

Friday, November 13, 2009

Designed by Ariel Yve and photographed by Raya Carlisle, this is a wedding to end all weddings. I first spotted on Style Me Pretty months ago, but I knew I wanted to wait for a very special post to feature it. Sarah and Chase got hitched on a beautiful May day in Santa Barbara, and their reception was held at the Rockwood Women's Club. The beauty of the Dora may have actually been outshone by the gorgeousness of this event.

Camille Panzarello of Modern Day Design created distinctive centerpieces using a combination of hydrangeas, peonies, garden roses, viburnum and tulips, and the same soft, dewy flowers made their way into every boutonnière, altar decoration and bouquet. I especially adored the button details; three mother of pearl buttons were sewn together to create gorgeous stands for each of the escort cards. The sublime wedding cake was a simple 4 tiered ivory buttercream delight, bursting with blush peonies, and the couple sliced up their tasty treat using the bride’s grandfather’s authentic Civil War sword-a tradition that’s been carried out at Warren Family weddings for decades.

Romantic, vintage and sumptous-what else could you ask for?
